Would a battery replacement improve performance?

Hi All. Just trying to figure out if a battery replacement is worth it in my case, as I’m getting conflicting information online.

Some places say any battery capacity below 80% will have performance throttling. However, others say as long as it says peak performance capabilities, then it is not being throttled.

My phone intermittently slows, lags or freezes. Would a battery replacement potentially stop this happening? It’s slightly worse on iOS18, but was happening way before I updated.
